Your information
Close uses the information you share to respond to inquiries and provide bookkeeping services. This page describes how information is handled through this website and client workspace.
When you contact us
We store the name, email address, business name and message you submit so the firm owner can review and respond to your request. Submitting an inquiry does not create a client account or grant access to financial accounts. Please do not include passwords, account numbers or financial documents in an inquiry.
When you are a client
We process business details, financial records, source documents and communications needed for your bookkeeping engagement. Access depends on the company and the user’s current role. Authentication uses session cookies, and security controls record sign-in and account-security events.
Service providers and AI
Our technology uses hosting, database and email providers. When AI features are used, relevant transaction or document information may be processed through Anthropic’s API to assist the bookkeeping team. Authorized financial connections use the providers selected for your engagement. Close remains responsible for reviewing and delivering the bookkeeping work.
Records and requests
Financial records and their supporting evidence are retained to support the engagement and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention and deletion also need to account for backups and records we are required to preserve. Contact us to discuss access, corrections, export or deletion of your information and the terms applicable to your engagement.
